Clark County Household Travel Survey
The Clark County Household Travel Survey collects information about:
- Where people go
- How people get there, and
- What they do there.
Why? To help understand how well our roads, highways, and transit systems
are working. The information is then used to help plan for future
transportation improvements that meet the needs of our community and to
ensure that your money is spent wisely.
The Regional Transportation Council (RTC) and your local area governments
continually work to provide a safe, efficient transportation system that
supports economic opportunity and livable communities for residents of Clark
County. It is important to understand how Clark County residents make travel decisions and how those travel choices play out across our transportation system now and in the future. The information improves our ability to identify future transportation needs and invest public funds wisely in a system that will support the growth of local jobs and our economy, while maintaining Clark County's quality of life.
Making sure that your transportation needs are met is a top priority for
RTC. It's important that everyone's travel habits are included as we develop
transportation solutions for the future:
- Whether you travel a lot or a little
- Whether you travel by car, bus, or simply by biking or walking.
To successfully plan for the future of transportation, our survey needs
to include travel details from households of all types, including yours. We
ask for your help so that transportation projects will truly reflect the
needs of all Clark County residents.
