Designated Regional Transportation System Map

The Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council (RTC) is the federally-designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (RTPO) for the region. The RTPO is required to designate a Regional Transportation System and to ensure consistency with the local transportation elements of the individual city/county Growth Management Act (GMA) plans. All transportation improvement projects must be identified in the Metropolitan Transportation Plan in order to be eligible for federal funds.
