Below is the agenda for the Bi-State Coordination Committee meeting, to be held on Thursday, April 21, 2005 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., at the Metro Regional Center, in the Metro Council Chambers, 600 NE Grand Avenue, Portland, Oregon. A full meeting report is also now available.

Agenda

  1. Welcome and Approval of Meeting Report
  2. I-5/Delta Park, Lombard Alternatives
    • Proposed recommendations to ODOT: 1) reaffirming that the alternatives include a sufficient range of choice; and, 2) sufficient analysis has been produced to be able to choose among the alternatives.

  3. I-5 Columbia River Crossing
    • Review of materials for May 4 Columbia River Crossing Task Force.

  4. Heavy Rail - Public/Private Actions
    • Presentation on: 1) background on a Rail Forum; 2) national examples of public private rail projects; 3) Port of Vancouver presentation;
    • Proposed recommendations: 1) that a proposal for roles and responsibilities for coordination of heavy rail in the bi-state area be developed along with a possible Rail Forum structure and brought to the Bi-State Coordination Committee; and 2) that a group of interested parties prepare a draft criteria for when public investment in private rail infrastructure is warranted.
