I-205 Corridor StudyThe Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council (RTC), Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the City of Vancouver, Clark County, and C-TRAN worked together on a study of the I-205 Corridor, between SR 14 and NE 83rd Street.
The purpose of the study was to develop project recommendations along the corridor to improve safety, by reducing weaving, and increase or maintain the levels of service along the section of I-205. The recommendations include provisions for new access locations and the modification to existing access locations. The Access Point Decision Report was published and submitted to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to gain federal approval for these project recommendations.
The Strategic Corridor Pre-Design Study/Access Point Decision Report (58 pages, 3.8Mb PDF) was published in 2002 and is available here or at WSDOT’s website.
A study overview is also provided by WSDOT on their server, and the original "work in progress" pages have been archived are still available on this server.
