I-5 Bridge Closure Update
PM Traffic Counts

Want help understanding what all the traffic data in the press releases mean? Check out the traffic count graphs that plot the daily changes in hourly traffic volumes on the I-5 and I-205 bridges. They'll show you how drivers are modifying which bridge they use and what time of day they travel during the bridge closure.

On the first day of the closure, for example, the three hour morning southbound traffic volumes went up on I-205, but all of the increase was between 5am and 7 am. The traditional 'rush hour' traffic (7am to 8 am) was down by more than 40%.

We'll be updating these graphs and tables as more data becomes available.

Press the Refresh/Reload button on your browser if the data seems particularlily dated.
